AwesomeSig - Novice PS CS5 - Signature Tutorial This is a fast and easy Tutorial for first time photoshop users. I am using Photoshop CS5 on a Mac Book Pro, so I don't know the keys for PC so I'll try the best I can to describe. Also this was done in about 5 and a half minutes. And as you get better you'll be able to implement a lot more better styles and effects on the text, images and making your own backgrounds from scratch in photoshop. Awesome Sig is the name haha and here is a quick tutorial on how to make this quickly. One find the character you want to use. Take a screen shot. Open it with Photoshop. Use the Polygon Lasso, (click a point then the next point) Control+C, then Control+V (Copy - Paste) Open a new document (or change canvas size to anything 500 by 100px or smaller) Either paste the finished character or drag it into the new document. Place into a cool position. Now put a background, since I want to make it rounded edges I use that shape and press Option+Command+G (Mac shortcut don't know the PC shortcut sorry.) Find a background image If you haven't already, save it, open in photoshop. Open as File - Smart Object then place into sig document. Place into background, (in this case into the shape, cmd+option+G setting in layer) [B&M] Bevel and Emboss at any setting you like (right click layer on right, click blending options) You can also add a gradient over an image to add a few different shades to the image.
